I'd like to see a law passed that jurors not be allowed to profit from their service. There is a guy originally from SF on that jury who had his own cooking show in SF. He has a manager/agent now and won't talk to "anyone" without being "compensated."
How do we know he wasn't the foreman? How do we know they didn't spend 2 hours filling out all those forms and then spent much of the remaining time with him instructing the others on how to get an agent and make some good "deals" with the press?
I'd like to see the rate of pay for serving on a jury increase so that educated middle class people living responsible family lives who cannot endure the financial hardships now, might be able to do so in the future.
I think the judge may be concerned about the public seeing the actual make up of that jury (what they look like, how they dress and speak, etc.) And all the more so because the judge forced the Prosecution to accept at least 4 of those jurors who supposedly had no real business being on that jury. One of them was forced by the judge because the person was black and Baez played the race card.
