Free Republic | July 7, 2011 | truthkeeper

Today is the day she may walk free. Prepare yourselves.

Call me Pollyanna, but the Judge did give FingerBoy 6 days. Hopefully he has scoured the law so she can cool her heels a little longer.

I think Casey is nice to whoever it is buys her crap and never questions anything she says or does. But I am sure none of it comes from the heart.

The defense team acts like they are scared of her too and especially the blowback from getting this nutcase off if she reoffends.

They probably didn’t figure that far.LOL

Yes, but she may use it as a deflecting tool. Hoping people will not look to deeply into things she does; so maybe it will go away.

It’s going to be a double edged sword for them. When they are ready to dump her; she may not want to go. After all they protected her for one of the worst possible crimes possible.

Casey will reoffend. It’s just a matter of time.

Can’t anyone honestly speak for themselves without lawyering or PRing up?

Jackwagon

Well, I least you are consistent. You insult everyone you don't agree with. I guess you think that strengthens your argument.

the DEFENSE said there were only three people involved, Casey, Cindy and George. The defense said it was accidental, no kidnapping nothing like that. No other people were brought in as possible party or parties in the crime by the defense! Get it?

The defense also said Casey was sexually abused by her father. Was that true? Was that proven? No.

The defense can theorize all day long.

It is the prosecution that has the burden of proof, not the defense.

But then, every jackwagon knows that.

Except maybe, you.

I boxed you in a corner

There's no box, and there is no corner.

It pretty much HAD to be Casey and NO ONE else and that is clear from the evidence but you don’t want it to be that way for reasons only known to you.

You certainly don't know that, nor did the prosecution prove that. You have ASSUMED that, based on your view of what you think are the only possibilities.I am saying that is not necessarily true, and the prosecution did nothing to eliminate other possibilities.

Maybe she reminds you of your daughter or sister or even your mother. Maybe you’re a young man and would like to get it on with a hot babe like this one or maybe you’re a woman who’d like to do the same. Casey swings both ways—something for everyone.

Wow. Even a member of the Flying Wallendas would never make a leap into space like that.

That is possibly the most disgusting thing I have ever seen on FreeRepublic in over 12 years here. You don't know a thing about me, and yet you have pyschoanalyzed me--incorrectly to boot.

This is why you should never be on a jury--you recklessly leap into space based on faulty assumptions.

And you can apologize for ascribing those filthy motives to me. Your statement says far more about you than it does about me.

MMJ—my post 1027 was in response to your post 975; that was in response to my post 873 to another poster, post 851, which mentioned “in the trash at the Casey home.”

And that trash was located where? Perhaps I wrongly assumed, in a garbage can. So, you are correct—no one but me mentioned a garbage can.

“Mark Lippman, the Anthony family lawyer, told WFTV recently that.... the family would welcome Casey into their home despite everything that has happened, including claims of sexual abuse and infidelity painted by the defense.

This announcement may have further contributed to the outrage and resultant death threats.”

As if we didn’t see this coming...

Yes, after hearing that, I suspect that any movies that come out about this will NOT treat Casey well.

Excellant article on the Jury.....

“The belief is that people of different backgrounds and experience will naturally bring a variety of attitudes to bear, and thus produce a more balanced view of the evidence. What one juror doesn’t get, another one does, and each of them sees different aspects to each witness and piece of evidence.

The idea is for them to share differing views and reach a greater understanding—not to have them shave off their square corners so they can all roll together.

Unfortunately—and psychological studies bear this out—a group that is kept together for any length of time becomes more and more alike, more in sync, as time goes on. (By the way, this phenomenon is also in play with regard to proximity to the defendant.

The longer the jury is in contact with the defendant, the less sinister he or she appears. In this way, familiarity with Casey Anthony turned her from a potential murderer to an abused, perhaps disturbed, but certainly nonthreatening, child.) Add this phenomenon to the natural desire to avoid contentiousness and seek harmony and you can see how individuality begins to erode in a sequestered jury.

Now add to that the psychology of group dynamics—a subject well known to trial lawyers and jury consultants. In every group there will be leaders and followers. Listening to Juror Jennifer Ford, who was very likely a leader, it became abundantly clear that the leaders on the Anthony jury were cheerleaders for the defense.

I don’t think George and especially Cindy saw this happening...that Casey would refuse to come back home to them after all they did to help her beat this rap.

I told my husband the two of them probably quickly left the courtroom right after the verdict so they could go home and spruce up Casey’s room, bake her a cake, make the “welcome home” banner, and blow up 6 dozen balloons.

They may not have ever planned to go quite that far but I’m willing to bet they were taken by surprise when Casey made it clear she was making plans that didn’t include the family in them.

This article is good. Thanks for the link. Jennifer Ford could well be a leader. That Casey who speaks on HLN said she watched her in voir dir and Jennifer clearly wanted on that jury. She gave all the right answers and when someone seemed to have an issue with one of her answers she quickly changed it. Ford confided in voir dir that she could relate to Casey because she too had been into the party scene and only recently had started getting her life on track by going back to school. Ford also said she researched the case on the internet in some depth but could keep an open mind. Casey from HLN said, “Apparently not.”

I think one of the big leaders may have been Juror #6, the guy who had a cooking show in San Francisco. That would mean he knows a lot about agents, managers, contracts, the press... Yesterday a report came out that he’d been offered $50,000 for an interview and he turned it down because he is holding our for MORE $$$. Never should have been on that jury. I wonder how much time he spent instructing the others in how to play the press to get the biggest bucks.

This group doesn’t seem so bad to me. From the Orlando Sentinel article:

“A Tampa-based public relations firm has an offer for the men and women who decided the fate of Casey Anthony in her murder trial: If you’re not charging for your story, they won’t charge for representation.”

Looks like they want to help jurors who want to make their case to the public but only if those jurors aren’t planning on getting “compensated” for doing so.

I don’t think George and especially Cindy saw this happening...that Casey would refuse to come back home to them after all they did to help her beat this rap.

The fact Casey did refuse to see them attests to the fact she has leeched onto somebody else and is going that route...even if it's a stay at a mnetal clinic, which I can see her Attorneys recommending as a place to keep her "safe".

Casey has no reason to go back under their roof UNTIL her resources/options, (victims), are exhausted. I think Cindy knows that too, but the void in her life right now is so vast Cindy has to approach Casey nonetheless.

The fact Casey rolled her eyes after Cindy mouthed "I love you" also indicates that Casey was already given other options than going home. I'm sure Cindy put that somewhere in her denial brainside..

. Casey thinks she now has "new friends" with this attorney team. And they will let her think so until they are finished with the notoriety they now have..then she's history. MAybe then the call to mom will come into play. Unless of course other (victims) have lined up to help her out. Take it to the bank she will indeed play them all.
