The period for those costumes is Victorian 1850-1860...curious. Anne of Green Gables was set in late Edwardian times. Was there an explanation of this? (I’m a fan of the Green Gables books.)

Those period costumes are mid 1860’s and Anne of Green Gables was set in the late 1870’s, bustle era not hoop.
