Good Morning to all, and Happy Independence Day.
There are also sure to be courtroom fireworks as the State gives it rebuttal and the case is expected to be sent to the jury.
Court is starting early today at 8:30 a.m.
The countdown for justice for Caylee begins.
Drives me nuts. They remind me of Obama voters. I need to just put them on IGNORE
It is not even worth a reply to them anymore...I find it’s only Dems that don’t really listen and try to understand. Same old talking points
That explains a lot...
yep
You sound just like a lib..personal attack, insults.
I don’t care what you believe. I didn’t say I was a law student. I’m in college in Pre Law.
Whatever this woman has done, she deserves a fair trial.
This is America, not some Muslim country.
She is innocent until proven guilty.
haha when the question asking patton if he thought Casey Anthony was hot, I thought maybe that Mrs. Grundy was the name of the Florida teacher that was a sexual predator to underage boys, Debra Lefave
because their daughter is on trial so allowed to stay like any other parent would be allowed
So that narrows it down a bit. Hopefully we'll have a Henry Fonda foreman who can help them to see the light.
BTW, of the reporters commented that they thought maybe the foreman was a teacher. Is there a teacher on that jury?
She’s innocent until proven guilty in a Court - not in public opinion. We’re free to speculate, query, wonder, ponder and opine all day long. Those of us who live here in Orlando have followed this case from day one. Some have followed more closely than others but we know the area, the weather, the local sheriff’s department and the ADA’s and judge in the case.
Casey got a fair trial with the counsel SHE requested in spite of her parents advising her more than once that she needed a different attorney.
Mason said defense lawyer Jose Baez asked him to join the defense team and he agreed, saying it will be “fun.” WFTV asked him if he’s a “game changer.”
I don’t know. I guess when a jury says not guilty we’ll find out, he replied. “This case is going to be fun to try, and we will walk out of here with Casey in arm. Stand by.”
Can you even imagine if Casey went free (shudder). She would be a total pariah. What a life.
This case is going to be fun to try”
Not if you’re Casey.
Thank you for pointing out that the populace is not required to consider her innocent, only the jurors. Drives me insane when people try to say that.
Excuse me, PRE LAW STUDENT, but what do you call what you have been doing? Personal attacks on the JUDGE that you do not know.
You obviously don’t know much of anything about this trial either as you prove every time you post.
The little lying slut IS getting a damn fair trial. That is more than Caylee ever got!
“”Court Clerk would make sense. Do they normally sit directly in front of the judge like that?
Is there a courtroom layout diagram or bird’s eye view to see how the seating is arranged in this case. “”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I think they do sit in front of the judge - much like those government employee types who sit in front in Congress, reading bills and overseeing the vote counts.
Tonight on HLN - just before 6 pm - they did have a layout of the courtroom. It went by really fast as that was about the time the judge called everyone back to the courtroom. I wouldn’t be surprised if they show it quite often as they need something to fill up their air time.
I thought it was odd during the trial that the prosecutor’s table and defense table weren’t side by side like they’re always portrayed on TV or in movies. LOL Remember in OJ’s murder trial, the prosecution and defense sat side by side with just their speaking position in between. Everyone was facing the court/judge. I don’t remember or if we even knew where the jury was seated.
In the courtroom for this trial, the defense table was off to the left (looking from the judge’s position) while the prosecution was seated in front of the spectator and press section - facing the judge... The defense table was directly across the room from the jury - another strange thing to me. It showed the spectator section which we didn’t see much of during the trial and it looked pretty small with a very small balcony for spectators.
Clear as a bell, right? I think the overall layout was quite a bit different from any other trial that’s been on TV - real or make believe!
Juror #11 is a white male in his 30’s who has been a 10th grade physical education and health teacher for 15 years. He has an uncle who worked for the FBI.
Interesting tidbit- just heard Tim Miller (Equisearch) on LHN saying he wishes he never got involved with the case- said the first thing Jose Baez said to him was- we hope you can find Caylee but you cannot ask my client ANYTHING about the case.
Also- said George’s oldest friend from the police depratment he worked at in Ohio was there and told him George knows the answer to what happened is down the hall in that bedroom (Casey’s) but she won’t say anything.
Yikes!
George grabbed a pen, thrust it at Casey, and said, "HERE. Now show us where the damn spot is so we can search!" It caused a big blow up between him, Casey, and Cindy.
The Texas guy said right then and there he knew the Anthonys KNEW the baby was dead, they just wanted to know where her body was.
There have been fist fights to get into the court room to gawk, TV coverage 24/7 with panels who try and convict her- who laugh and smirk and hope she gets death.
She's a young, attractive white girl. Game on- especially for the Libs. Get her.
Would this trial be this kind of sideshow if Anthony was black or Muslim? Not on your life.
You would hear next to nothing about it, and it would be highly unlikely that she'd get the supreme penalty.
Were we watching the same guy? I did not catch his name.
We had read depositions from everyone who testified in that trial for the State. There was very little presented that we didn't already know. Nothing Baez said affected my opinion of the facts I had read. He tried hard, but really had nothing to work with. Think about it - his client lied to everyone for months - even changed her story during that time period before the child's body was found. She could do NOTHING to help him. They didn't come up with the idiotic "blame daddy" defense until this past winter. And in case you missed it, another girl in the county jail for some kind of traffic offense had lost her own son in a drowning accident. Her father had found the boy and carried him out of the pool. Of course HE called 911 - so that is where the story differed. Casey heard that story and decided to use that as hers. Just as she used the story from One Tree Hill about the babysitter holding her down in the park and taking Caylee.
I saw that, too. George, being a cop, was on top of this and still so helpless. No wonder the suicide attempt. The man has been through hell and is still trying to find his way out.
