Good Morning to all, and Happy Independence Day.
There are also sure to be courtroom fireworks as the State gives it rebuttal and the case is expected to be sent to the jury.
Court is starting early today at 8:30 a.m.
The countdown for justice for Caylee begins.
Just seems to me that manslaughter makes no sense. Especially if the jury were to convict on the child abuse charge.
I like the judge. He’s far better than Ito, and a lot better than a lot of these high-profile trial judges. No-nonsense, fair, and pretty strict, and won’t allow his courtroom to be turned into a circus.
"After working as a prosecutor he promptly rose through the ranks of the judiciary but hit a roadblock in 1998 when he publicly acknowledged and apologized for an affair with a former deputy court administrator."

This judge has betrayed the trust the judicial system placed in him by having an illicit affair with a fellow court of law officer. Sorry to disappoint all the blood lusters, but the prosecution has not proved murder one without a doubt. Casey will not get the death penalty.
The local media says the county put up 50 something 'no parking or stopping' signs up yesterday. Said.the number of drivebys have been increasing the last few days. Also says they will keep order in neighborhood by beefing up deputies patrolling in the area. Remember the discovery location of Caylee is only 15 houses away from the Anthony home.
And since the judge is sequestering the alternates, does that mean a hung jury is far less likely, anyone?
Those whining that he has shut down the defense need to go back and read - the defense has tried everything they could to stop this trial, even asking three or four times for a mistrial. AND, objections are often just made to get on the record so they can be reviewed for any upcoming review. So I don't think the Defense always thought they would get an objection sustained, just wanted to make note of it on the record.
So overall - I think he has done a great job. One of the things he has done that I appreciate it tell them not to yell - he can hear just fine. My household is not a name calling yelling place so I don't like it in a work place either.
“”The prosecutor description of what an AMAZING MOTHER Casey was is textbook excellent.””
I stepped away from the TV for just a few minutes and missed that. What did she say? I saw the words at the bottom of the screen when I returned to the TV that said, “2 seconds of interaction” didn’t make a good mother or something of that sort.
I asked on the thread last night had anyone ever testified to seeing Casey performing any of the mundane tasks (10-11 that I listed) that mothers usually perform that would attest to just what a great loving and devoted mother she was....She gave birth and had HER picture taken with Caylee - WOW! Mallory is the one who said she was a “great” mom and Baez got it in in his closing remarks. He called her “devoted.” Guess it wasn’t difficult to pull the wool over his eyes.

Mallory Parker is Lee’s girlfriend. I don’t know who Christina is.
Get over it college kid! Perry had an affair in 1990. It became known in 1998 when that woman filed suit against the county when she was fired by someone else, not Perry.
Brother Lee’s girlfriend name is Mallory not christina.
Local news since day 1 back in 2008 and then the Nancy Grace show hasn’t let up on her for 3 years.
You are correct...
Krristina Chester, friend of Casey
On June 20, Casey left a message on Kristinas myspace page saying “Hey girl! Long time! What’s this about going to Canada? I miss you!”
If anything has happened to my baby...??
I thought Lees girlfriend, Mallory, said that, if Im not mistaken.”
It was someone named Chris or Christine - who was at the Anthony home the first day that Casey called from jail. Her friend or a friend of George and Cindy - never explained. The tape was played at the trial and I thought it was great that whoever she was, she wasn’t going to let Casey off the hook without more prodding. Of course, it got her nowhere but she at least tried!
Baez did nothing to change my feelings about the evidence I knew existed and was presented by the State.
It isn't hard to read the evidence, even for someone who is tired.
Judge Belvin Perry has been awesome. Fair and in control of his courtroom. Beyond patient with the incompetence of Baez. Baez got the first judge assigned removed. His name was Strickland. Fla. Bar needs to get Baez for his doings.
Maybe a leftover from the Clarence Thomas hearings—maybe it’s harder to find a good “cause” these days than I thought. ;)
Her name is Kristina Chester and all I found out about her online is that she was a friend of Casey’s. It was Lauren Gibbs who babysat for Caylee.
No.
I said I was going back and reading the transcripts to get a sense of these things. I am saying what I would want to know if I was on the jury and am going back to the original transcripts to see if my questions are answered there.
Some of what I read may or may not have been entered into evidence. I am not on the jury so I am privy to information they may not have. They jury can only work with what they have.
But in the end, the opinion will be mine and not the opinion of the prosecutor or the defense attorney.
Yeah even outside of Florida it has been fairly constant, although I would never claim to be inundated like Floridians have been!
....”I haven’t slept in 4 days”
Her mother “retrieved” her from Tony’s apartment and took her back to their home - that’s when Lee got the kidnapping story out of her and Cindy made the 911 calls. The cops came - questioned her. The next day the detectives took her to Universal Studios. That’s TWO DAYS. Why wasn’t she sleeping the other two days? Just curious!!
Of course, I’m assuming she made the call the first day she was in jail - perhaps not!
