Are there still people claiming that Jim Morrison didn’t really die?

Obviously, dying was a good career move.

The book “noone gets out of here alive” about the life and times showed morrison to be a really messed up individual. His father recently passed away and was the youngest admiral in the navy.

His ghost has turned 40, and is still having a devil of a time stuffing that thing back into his jeans.
An embarrassing way to go through eternity.

.. which crossed the line into the leud one night in Miami and got him arrested..
I was there that night with my future wife and my best friend and his gal.
It was my (now) wife's birthday and she loved Morrison.
(Dinner Key Auditorium.)
BTW: The Florida state clemency board has pardoned Morrison of his conviction for indecent exposure and profanity during that concert.

And we laugh like soft, mad children
Smug in the wooly cotton brains of infancy
The music and voices are all around us.
Choose, they croon, the Ancient Ones
The time has come again
Choose now, they croon
Beneath the moon
Beside an ancient lake
Enter again the sweet forest
Enter the hot dream
Come with us
Everything is broken up and dances.

Saw The Doors in Rochester, NY. I think it was just before or after the incident in Florida. The performance was magical. It was like a spiritual experience. They performed flawlessly although it seemed spontaneous and unrehearsed. The band took their cues from Morrison and followed wherever he took them. I have seen very many concerts, back in the day, and The Doors was one of the best. He was a musical genius. It's too bad so many of them end up on drugs and alcohol and then death.

Morrison and The Doors were much over-rated.
