“”I think the FL attorney you are thinking of is Stacy Honowitz (I probably spelled her name all wrong).””
That’s it and I think I would have spelled it the same way. She’s pretty vocal but she’s very confident in her comments so I choose to believe she knows what she’s talking about.
While we’re on the subject, can anyone tell me why the prosecution in this case is referred to as “State’s Attorneys” and not District Attorneys or Deputy DA’s?
I know the state brings the case but the County DA’s office usually prosecutes. Are these attorneys from the Orange County DA’s office or from the State of FL???
Wish I’d found these threads 4 weeks ago and I could have asked that pesky question then and put a stop to just wondering about it.
I can’t answer your other questions but I wanted to add that I just saw Stacy Honowitz on TV last night. I believe it was on HLN’s Dr. Drew Show. Dr. Drew is on vacation and Vinnie Polatano (sp?) has been sitting in for him.
The prosecution attorneys represent the State of Florida from the DISTRICT of Orange County, thus the name District Attorney’s office.
