Good morning to all.
I thought I would get this thread up bright and early so I could concentrate on work until the trial begins. I believe it starts at 9:00 a.m. today.
The State is presenting its important rebuttal case, which will include two Gentiva representatives, one of which will likely be a custodian of records. That person would need to authenticate Cindy's time sheets, which were subpoenaed. The State plans to admit that evidence to impeach her testimony that it was she, and not Casey, who did the computer searches on chloroform. The chloroform searches go directly to premeditation, a critical element in a death penalty case.
I understand that closing arguments will be heard Saturday (tomorrow) and then the jury will "get deliberated." (I love saying that!)
Time to put on a big pot of coffee...
Casey Jordan, who I think is a lawyer and law professor, just said that after viewing today’s court proceedings, she seriously believes that the death penalty is back on the table. She didn’t think so yesterday.
I am glad the closings arguments were moved. Mostly because I can watch on Sunday.
I like Casey Jordan, she said from the beginning that Casey Anthony showed ALL of the signs of a sociopath..the only shot the defense has at anything is begging the state for some kind of plea bargain that is their ONLY chance

My theory about his love affair with Casey is his guilt over his abuse of girlfriends, wives, lovers and one night stands over the years. By turning Casey into the victim, he can absolve himself of all his personal misogyny. Sorta “love women in general, hate them in particular.”
Did you see the old birthday party tape they are running of Casey at about age 10? It's been playing all morning. There is definitely something wrong with that child. She's very pretty (looks a lot like Caylee) but something is not right in the eyes and the expression. And her affect seems wrong to me too.
I kept wondering who she reminded me of and then it hit me. Ever see Patty McCormack in "The Bad Seed?" Same thing, I'm not kidding. Check it out for yourself.

I have NO doubt the body was in the car. Even without Dr. Vass’ (sp?) testimony there were still about 4 humans and 2 dogs that know that smell.
There was no testimony about sleeping pills or anything. There has been speculation by talking heads that Zanny The Nanny really refers to Zan… some drug with a similar name that could konk-out a kid.
Why three times with the duct tape? It’s been my experience with duct tape (not on dead bodies) that’s it hard to get a good seal the first time. I’ll put on one piece, realize it’s not doing the job and put on another, and maybe another to get a good seal. And the contours around the mouth and nose would make it hard to get it formed just right with just one piece. This would be true whether it was used to kill her or to seal oozing decomposition fluids.

I havent seen the video is it posted online I’d like to see it..yeah sociopathy is something your just born with..add that with bad parenting and you got a bad combo
After you see it, tell me if you don't detect something sort of "off."
I am watching HLN now but so far they have not shown it. Hopefully they will show it again. I think what happened was that Casey was born a sociopath, but she did not get the help that she needed, add that with an overbearing mother and a strict father and it wasn’t going to end well. Maybe if she had gotten some much needed therapy she might have had a chance to grow up and have a normal life, instead it just got worse and worse and what you see now is the manifestation of that
My feeling is they can't really be helped, they are just born wrong. All you can really do is mitigate the damages. For example, they should NEVER be in a relationship or, God forbid, have children.
Just my experience speaking.
I did a google search for the video and found it..is it the one where Casey at age 10 is at a little kid’s birthday party and she says “My name is Casey” I dont notice anything peculiar in the video but of course I am not a shrink LOL..she doesn’t seem to be smiling much in the video only in the beginning but of course its a very short video maybe around 20 seconds
Casey was 5 years old in the video and I’ve always thought of Casey as The Bad Seed based upon the character of Rhoda that Patty McCormick played in the movie of that same name.
It's very subtle but I see it.
Her own Mom screwed her up on purpose. How would you feel? Her Mother knew they had the records. I would not be surprised if Ashton was in on it. I will let you know my verdict after the close.

They cuffed her when the Cops first came. That is considered detention. Once detained you are under arrest and must be told about Miranda in order to use what you say against you.
But I also think circumstantial evidence is better than eyewitness testimony.
