You can take an old photo of you or loved ones back to the same spot now and put it in a new photo. Like a photo of your parents on the front porch of the house you moved out of 30 years ago ... go back and put them back in the photo now. Some of these are really sweet.

I have to admit I have used Google Maps Street View to revisit my childhood home and virtually stroll through interesting places I have been to. Sometimes my heart beats a little fast when I say “OMG! I forgot that (whatever the heck it was) was there!”

You know I saw a documentary on Detroit on what it looked like in the 50’s compared to what it looks like now. Downtown, train stations, residential neighborhoods etc. We all know what the differences all turned out to be, dismal.
Wouldn’t you just LOVE to see this for every Democrat controlled city for the last 50 years? In this case, 30 would do just as well.
Be careful. I showed this site to the wife, and now she’s going through albums and emptying shoeboxes of old pics. My weekend is in jeopardy...
Maybe we should all find something to fit this idea in a city near us. Make it a FR thing. A project.

It’s a cool idea, but you don’t really need gmail to do it.
Actually, I have lots of photos of family in our hometown, which has changed...and I think... interesting project.
I have always wanted to do this with my Dad’s pictures from his Army days in Germany, 1951-53. He won’t fly back there, but someday I hope to recreate the photos of the same places.
I wrote a letter to Hailey Barber in 1992 with that exact message: Get pictures from the library of 1954 when the Democrats got control of Congress for 40 years. Put those pictures on billboards around the appropriate neighborhoods and see what hell the Democrats have wrought.
Pittsburgh-area cities would be Exhibit A.
