The NFL and players are rapidly approaching the "Moment of Truth" in their negotiations for a 2011 football season. Personally I thought they would have put together a deal by now. With July on the horizon, training camps would be or already would have started. Most of these players probably haven't been working out and getting the conditioning they normally would have prior to training camp.As a result you have to wonder what kind of shape many of these players will be in. My prediction is that if there is not deal in place by Friday, July 1st, then the chances of a season dim considerably. One commentator thought it could go several more weeks but I think that will be too late unless they want to scrap the pre-season games. Of course doing that will not give the coaches an opportunity to evaluate the new players and then those decisions will be made strickly in some sort of training camp enviornment. Add in the mix that 80% to 90% of these players probably don't have any real savings to speak of and need that paycheck. So my guess is that the rank and file players will start pressuring the Union for a deal to have a season. I think Friday, July 1st, will be the day some sort of deal is announced.

Keyboard operator malfunction. Sorry.
Wonder if we can get some college games moved to Sunday?
Not likely I guess.
Just have to DVR more games on Saturday for watching Sunday and the following week.
Although here in Indianapolis there's an ad with Peyton Manning for something every 5 minutes, LOL.
He said the NFL was like “modern day slavery”.
LOL
Has he been spending the off season with Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton?
that she is! and thank you
Who cares...this nation could do without a football season from time to time.

I’d like to sweep her off her feet.
Cheryl’s so damn hot she had the whole (well, the male contingent at least) south side of Chicago bar cheering for her and her Canuck curlers when I was watching the last Olympics.
Is there anything
Hot Russian chicks can not do?
I don’t want to know...
Who cares? Millionaires fighting with millionaires.
Yawn...
Pro athletes with no savings? Bank on it.
I’m sure they take the rookies and offer them financial advice or referrals to advisers, same way they say that it’s probably a bad idea to impregnate a different girl every week, but that doesn’t mean the advice “takes”. There will always be athletes, rock stars, whatever, who burn through every dollar they make and even borrow more if they can.
My guess: within the next 7-10 days.
I’ll bet - I would be doing the same thing and I know next to nothing about the sport!
