The NFL and players are rapidly approaching the "Moment of Truth" in their negotiations for a 2011 football season. Personally I thought they would have put together a deal by now. With July on the horizon, training camps would be or already would have started. Most of these players probably haven't been working out and getting the conditioning they normally would have prior to training camp.As a result you have to wonder what kind of shape many of these players will be in. My prediction is that if there is not deal in place by Friday, July 1st, then the chances of a season dim considerably. One commentator thought it could go several more weeks but I think that will be too late unless they want to scrap the pre-season games. Of course doing that will not give the coaches an opportunity to evaluate the new players and then those decisions will be made strickly in some sort of training camp enviornment. Add in the mix that 80% to 90% of these players probably don't have any real savings to speak of and need that paycheck. So my guess is that the rank and file players will start pressuring the Union for a deal to have a season. I think Friday, July 1st, will be the day some sort of deal is announced.
Fantasy Curling is going to suck...
Playahs will cave. Need to cover their gambling debts
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!

I'm thinking of starting my own league.
When the NFL Players get rid of the LAWYER (DeMaurice Smith) who’s speaking for them.
Bottom line—who really cares?
LAWYERS...worthless as teets on a boar hog!
I rather enjoyed the last scrub season we had. I’d like to see another.
80 to 90% of players have no savings?
These guys make so much money but have no savings? Where does their money go?
I know not every player makes millions a year, but it’s hard to believe that so many would miss a paycheck and be destitute.
If true, the NFL should really send the players to some personal finance or money management class.
And I appreciate that the average NFL career is short, I think it’s 4 or 5 years? So the typical players have a short window to earn big bucks. Even so, if they manage their NFL earnings properly, they should never have to worry about money again after their playing days are over.

Will anyone notice the absence of an NFL season? There’s good college and high school ball in every state and major city.
Who cares?
Wow she’s gotta be the definition of “mature hottie”
well done sir!
Doesn’t matter now that Adrian Peters has opened his mouth and made me loathe his place on my team.
Adrian Peters
