You can pretty much go down the entire list of the early Alec Guinness movies, and they’re all hilarious.
I loved ‘The Lavender Hill Mob,’ ‘The Man in the White Suit,’ ‘Kind Hearts and Coronets,’ ‘A Run for Your Money,’ ‘The Last Holiday,’ ‘The Promoter,’ ‘The Captain’s Paradise,’ and ‘The Ladykillers.’
There are others, too; however, it seemed to me that, as he got older, he played in dramas more often than comedies.
I’ve seen a few of those and I copied the list so I can get them. I’m downloading “The man in the white suit” as I type.
