Kaopectate used to contain kaolin, which is a clay. Both the kaolin and the pectin have been removed from the product. Supposedly, both ingredients were removed because they were ineffective.

So, I have some doubts about bentonite taken internally, although I have seen the ads, which I find hyperbolic. I believe it is the basis for facial masks to remove blackheads. I know it can be purchased bulk for that purpose from cosmetic ingredient suppliers.

You state you had no ill results. What benefits did you experience?

With those ingredients it was both effective and you could use it on babies and animals without hesitation.

It cleans you out without causing diarrhea or other discomforts. You just need to drink plenty of water. A friend of mine has been using it for years and claims that she has felt wonderful since she started it. I don't use it as much, not because it doesn't work but more because I find it difficult to drink muddy water even if it doesn't have any taste. You dissolve it in a glass of water and drink the water. It works like fiber without the side effects of fiber.
