PHILADELPHIA (AP) - "Jackass" star Ryan Dunn had a blood-alcohol content that was more than twice the legal limit when he and a passenger died in a fiery one-car crash this week, according to a toxicology report.
Dunn's Porsche may have been traveling as fast as 140 mph in a 55 mph zone when it jumped a guardrail, flew into a wooded ravine, struck a tree and burst into flames, police said.

“unexpected”
imagine that
Live like a jackass...die like a jackass...
Last time I drove at 140 mph the vehicle had things called wings on it.
What a jackass
WHEW! I thought for sure it would be something like “When the car he was driving hit a minivan wiht three children. He was arrested after being treated....”
Glad these drunks only took out themselves before they took someone else out.
you catch the part where he did the same thing a year or so back two miles away? but lived that time obviously.
90ph over the speed limit. surprised there was anything left to take a sample of.
I’m shocked, shocked that someone who made his living off a franchise premised on dangerous behavior would be killed engaging in dangerous behavior. Who could have seen THAT coming?
140 mph plus .196 BAC. Geez. Just like there’s a heat index, someone can come up with a speed/booze combo that will henceforth be known as the Dunn Index. This guy set the bar pretty high . . .
Roger Ebert came under fire for tweeting “friends don’t let jackasses drink and drive” after the accident. One of the few times I find myself in agreement with Roger Ebert.
Drunk, 140 MPH, airbourne off the road, hit a tree.
He went out with a bang.
Probably not an open casket situation.
Ignorance is bliss...
Same here. Even on so-called conservative sites, people were bashing Ebert for his “sanctimoniousness.” Bullpuckey. This jerk needlessly killed himself and another man. Had he gone 140 mph into a car carrying your wife, your children, your parents, or your siblings, I don’t think you would be quite so hard on Roger Ebert. He was right. Nobody, even “conservatives,” wants to speak the truth. Especially when it comes to celebrities.
He was lucky to live even this long.
Cause of death: deceleration trauma.
“Probably not an open casket situation.”
It’s pretty hard to do an open casket with nothing more than used putty knives and Brillo pads.
Amen...after spending a lot of years treating and rescuing drunk drivers while a EMT, There is no pity for them from me.
Some people are Christian enough to wait til the casket is buried before they point out what a jackwad the deceased was.
It’s in deference to the family not the jackwad.
Ebert is scum either way. His post was correct but the timing was poor.
