Whenifhow has recently been busy researching and found this interesting nugget from the New York Times:

Activists Fight Green Projects, Seeing U.N. Plot

By LESLIE KAUFMAN and KATE ZERNIKE

Published: February 3, 2012

Exerpt:

Across the country, activists with ties to the Tea Party are railing against all sorts of local and state efforts to control sprawl and conserve energy. They brand government action for things like expanding public transportation routes and preserving open space as part of a United Nations-led conspiracy to deny property rights and herd citizens toward cities.

It goes on to show how various protests across the country are having an effect at stopping Agenda 21 and “Sustainability.”

A quote from the article [bold face mine - texokie]:
‘ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL, MR. GINGRICH HAS CALLED AGENDA 21 AN IMPORTANT ISSUE AND HAS SAID, “I WOULD EXPLICITYLY REPUDIATE WHAT OBAMA HAS DONE ON AGENDA 21.”’

It mentions the: “Republican National Committee resolution, passed without fanfare on Jan. 13, declared, “The United Nations Agenda 21 plan of radical so-called ‘sustainable development’ views the American way of life of private property ownership, single family homes, private car ownership and individual travel choices, and privately owned farms; all as destructive to the environment.” [note: I have read discussions on this forum in which it is stated that it is NOT the RNC which came out with that resolution, but some other Republican organization.]

If you want to be on or off the Agenda 21 ping list, please notify me by Freepmail. It is a relatively low volume list in which we have been exploring the UN Agenda21 and related topics. We have collected our studies with threads, links, and discussions on this Agenda 21 thread.

This seems to be a very clear presentation of the history for the opposition to Agenda 21.

Is there something else I need to look at to fully understand the treachery they take? This is not a new thing, it is definitely and international leftie thing and it is an Un-American thing.
