I agree. But his economic arguments are tight, sound, informed, tested, and better than almost all others. I wasvarguing w some fools about the stim bill and ran across some of his clips from 2008 2009 and they were pure brilliance economically.
He doesn’t believe in isolation...he believes that the President should ask Congress for a Declaration of War before bombing any country he wants too. I believe that is the Law. He believes that it isn’t necessary to have troops in europe 66 years after the end of WWII. Not to argue but this Country is bankrupt and we cannot afford to out spend the entire world in military arms, with a unguarded border war in the southwest. We have no business in Libya bombing civilians to protect civilians. Sir I spent 20 years in the military, and spent a year in Southeast asia in a long forgotten war in Vietnam. We have the strongest military in the world, but we no longer can afford to be the worlds policemen for free. And if we are going to war then our Commander in Chief ought to at least follow the law.
Paul was saying, “I’ve got Weiner beaten by a couple feet”.
Sarc.
And Congress will never give another declaration of war and we haw interests other countries that need protection
Paul’s views are too simplistic
What’s his opinion on clandestine and covert operations?
“My red tie in between these two clowns with their neutral grey ties is worth a few votes wouldn’t you say?”
True that. Dr Paul sounds like a wack job because this Country has drifted away so far from its intended job of being a small limited government. There are actually folks who think the Government shrank under Bush I, Bush II, Reagan ect. Perhaps Dr. Paul sounds crazy wanting to decriminalize drugs, but from my point of view the war on Drugs has failed as badly as the war on poverty. If someone wants to take drugs and die, why would I care. Spending Billions of dollars locking up people for smoking weed is strange when we are bankrupt. Makes as much sense as sending money to welfare mommies to sit on their asses and produce more kids. Not the Governments job to feed lazy people. Makes as much sense as paying for seniors prescription drugs because their children will not help their parents. Yep a real wack job. However Dr. Paul believes in the 10th admendment, and if your state wants to do these things its ok for your citizens to pay for it. Crazy huh?
That’s why the founders required congressional approval. We are not suppose to involve ourselfs in wars just for the sake of war. It was suppose to be hard to do. Obama acts like a KING when he order’s troops to bomb Libya without the approval of the congress. This nation was founded to get away from a KING. George Washington warned us when leaving office not to get involved in wars unless our national security was in danger.
Thank God he will never win the primary.
No he sounds like a whack job because he is a whack job. Pure and simple, its not about anything else including veiled insults from his whack job supporters.
Mitt: “I’m Mitt Romney!!!”
Paul: “Blah blah Fed blah blah Fed”
T-Paw: “I think Ron just farted...”
That might be true, but, he’s still wrong on foreign policy.
Plus, he DELIVERS it like a whacko, in his mannerisms, etc.
Ever notice that the kooks like Paul and Kuchinich are the only ones that talk about taking on or eliminating the Fed?
The rest are either complicit in the ongoing rape of the US taxpayer, or know they would be killed by the powers they would piss off if they did so...
The kooks are allowed, simply because they are kooks.
Peter, Paul & Mary.
For Kucinich, it’s because he’d rather us all be indentured servants, given rations of food and shelter, so no need for money of any kind.
