British actor Sean Bean was stabbed in the arm following a spat over a Playboy model outside a bar in London.
The "Lord Of The Rings" and "Game of Thrones" star was apparently attacked outside the Hill Bar and Brasserie in Camden, northwest London late Sunday, British newspaper The Daily Mail reported Tuesday.

We didn't actually see an aftermath. Just as the executioner was about to drop his sword, there was a sound. He seems like too important a character to kill off at this point?

He’s dead Jim. Just an FYI, George R.R. Martin is absolutely brutal with his characters. I wouldn’t recommend becoming attached to anyone.
He lived through Troy and almost everyone else got killed in that dog of a film.

After watching Game of Thrones Sunday night my wife was so shocked when Eddard Stark (Sean Bean) was executed. Knowing I’ve read the book she asked, “is this for real?” I told her it was. Earlier today she asked me again. She can’t believe they would kill off Bean’s character. She’s hoping that it was a dream scene or something like that. Unfortunately that’s the way the book was written.
Reed is at the top of my FAVE list. Brilliant and unforgettable. When I was in Malta I tried to find the bar where he died, but I couldn’t find it. A stupid loss.
Yup, it was him. He is important; but Game of Thrones is first book of many. Jon is the “star” sorta.
I haven’t read the books yet but was told not to get attached to ANY character. You might pass that along to your wife

There’s always a chance that your particular favorite character will get killed. But if it is any consolation, it is fair to say that not all the good characters die.
Thanks - my husband gave me a preview of next season - it is still going to be tough to see some of my other favs get killed....
