I seem to recall he was a solid preacher for years.
I used to listen to his show years ago. It’s sad to see him go off the rails as he did. And what a monumental waste of money (course it’s about what the government spends in two hours).

his teaching on the basic Gospel and basic Christian doctrines was pretty solidly conventional.
When he wandered into fringe areas . . . he could be pretty radical—evidently more so as he aged.
