“his left arm partially amputated” according to the linked article. I hope it can be re-attached. No word on the condition of his hand. The last update was at 5pm today so maybe they don’t know yet. Seems like they would have noted if his hand was detached in the original article.
Can’t imagine the impact on the body and mind of a 74 year old - the unreality of it etc. Having to ‘get used to having’ one arm (hope they save the other!) at the age of 74 when he was originally hale enough to do yard work? Having to rehab (if they save the arm!) that arm at that age!? Will that guy ever feel safe in his own yard again? Would he be able to live on his own anymore? Assuming, and praying, he lives?

“The vicious dogs broke out of their cages and attacked Roy McSweeney, 74, while he was doing yard work at his home in Hawthorne Friday morning.

Doctors amputated the great-grandfather’s right arm and are trying to reattach his left arm.

“He is disabled and sometimes used a scooter to get around. The dogs hurt him pretty bad,” Roderick Flynn, a volunteer firefighter who was at the gruesome scene, told WTEV.
