You have a very wise off-spring.
He was my favorite character in the books.
Today I gave a tour for an Army Colonel and a Sergeant Major. Turned out they were the CO and senior enlisted of the 316th Calary.
They were very nice, although slightly surprised that an E-3 and an E-4 would be giving a tour to the equivalents of a Captain and a Senior Chief. Ah well.
Honestly, I was a bit confused as to why they picked two of the lowest-ranking people on the ship for that particular job, too, but whatever. Maybe there was nobody else available.
Seems like a good opportunity to be ostentatious.
Maybe it was because you speak intelligible English, in actual sentences. I used to do some protocol work at USAA because I wore a suit and wasn’t afraid of Generals and Congresscritters.
Booth is right about those ice cream trucks too.
I despise ice cream trucks.
Between cold meds and not sleeping, I actually thought I was fairly incoherent, but maybe not.
When they said ‘go do a tour for some Army guys’ I thought it was some E-5s or something who wanted to see how the service with no money lives.
I did a quick sequential sketch where a character named after my handle chases down an ice cream truck with a baseball bat labeled ‘screen away’ and comes back carrying the trucks bumper.
“Screen Away” was used whenever the computer did something bad, usually by barfing on the character during important things which would make him pull up the Screen Away and smack the screen.
CG: “Our E-3’s and E-4’s are better at giving tours than YOUR ‘O’ grades!”
If only I could do animation... the three segueing songs would be perfect for the Rabbitoids.
‘Face is present and accounted for.
Yesterday was a dual exercise in self control (none) and helplessness (plenty.) Today I’m up, at least for a while, but after I check my email, I think I’ll go back and lie down for a while, then try to take a shower and then clean my wound.
Thank you all for your wishes. I appreciate you very much!
Sis’ daughter has to work for the next 10 days, and it’s a one-car family, so I’m on my own. However, they did get me some yogurt and got my script filled, so they DID help.
:o])
Be very careful today.
Glad you’re still kickin’!
I’m trying to decide whether to continue blowing my nose, or whether to take an allergy pill and be a zombie for the next eight hours.
I guess I’ll decide after going to Walmart.
Interesting. When I went to Governor’s School in Virginia, it was only for rising high-school seniors. I wonder if NC has something for middle-schoolers ... probably not, or some of my friends’ overachieving children would be in it.
NC has a six-week program for rising juniors and seniors only.
I promise!
Gadzooks! I dreamed about zombies last night! LOL! Quite a fascinating array, I must say.
You weren’t among them, so I suspect you’ll forego the antihistamine and continue to blow your brains out, which will, as a logical sequence, turn you into a zombie, anyhow.
I’m going to lie down again. Don’t want to overdo it.
XO
Have a peaceful lie-down! Jake was out all night and concurs with your plan.
