I can remember many players from that team, but not this guy. I guess I was just too young.

Pittsburgh beat Baltimore in 7 games. I remember listening to the last game of the series on the radio.

The only thing I remember about the ‘71 World Series was that after the game they trashed the city. I was 8 years old at the time and could not understand why.

I remember that year and the great players the Bucs had. I have Jose's autograph on a ball with Gene Alley, Al McBean, and few others from the late 1960's. Sorry to see him go.

The Pirates have always gone through cycles of long stretches of lean years with a few successful ones. I hope this season marks the end of our current nightmare.
