Rest in peace. Thanks for all the music, which I enjoyed without knowing so much of it was from you.
His Greatest song, IMO, was “Endless Flight”. It’s one of the coolest songs I’ve ever heard. RIP Andrew.
I can honestly say I don’t remember ever hearing that song, and ‘76 is my era. I graduated from college in ‘77 (I was on the 5 year plan, so I should have been a sr. in college in ‘76.)
I was a fan...too young to go...left a great catalog of songs though. RIP.
I’ve always liked this song of his, ‘Never Let Her Slip Away’

I didn’t know he had that connection to 10cc. Man, ‘I’m Not In Love’ is an amazing song...

Rest in peace Andrew Gold. A very talented fellow.
Thanks for posting this r/r. I’ve been looking for a news story on this since this morning when i first read it on Leland Sklar’s FB page.
There have been a lot of deaths recently: James Arness, Kervorkian (ugh!-good riddance), Eagleburger, and now him. Rest in peace.
Man this is a shock. 59 is way too young. RIP
He and Linda Ronstadt made some pretty amazing music together.
Reading through the article I saw the name Wendy Waldman, now there is a singer I have not thought about in about 25 years! I have 3 of her records, I think I will go put one on!
My high school boyfriend loved “Lonely Boy”. That tainted me. I could never stand that song, but RIP.
Waiting for the slow songs to be played at the local disco,I’m not in love was a favorite.
Dry riding anyone.
I spent a lot of time at the park district pool then. Heard that song over and over the sound system there.
This is very sad. So talented, so young.
R.I.P Andrew Gold!
RIP.
Ha! The concession workers probably brought their 45’s in and put them on the stack on the record player over the PA! Loved those days!
During his period of creativity there wasn’t any music that didn’t suck. RIP but you were dead to me years ago....
LOL! :) I always loved slow dances, too. *SMIRK*
Oh, to be young again, but to have the smarts I have now, LOL!
