The USDA is once again inserting itself underneath the Constitutional sneeze-guard of the Tenth Amendment. In a publicity rich media event, Michelle Obama and the USDA introduced a new dietary guideline graphic: an illustration of a plate, divided into four basic food groups. Its a replacement for the Food Pyramid; which was a replacement for the original USDA nutritional guidelines called: the four basic food groups (illustrated with a pie chart).

LOL, too true!
MyPlate USDA Nutrition Guide Has Its Cracks
Red Eye showed this the other night.
If the Obama Plan is successful, the “ChooseMyPlate” for the future will have:
25% Rice, 25% Water, 10% Rat/Insect, 40% Weight-loss Opportunity.
I like the design of the plate - it’s very Museum of Modern Art; which is where it will end up being sold because I’ve read that it’s an incredibly expensive plate to reproduce en masse.
LOL, classic, Frank!
My family never, ever paid attention to the guidelines. We work hard and play hard. Not a fat one in the bloodline. Moose can take her pie chart and shove it.
If you put enough hot sauce on it, maybe...
The dumbing down of America has been accelerated under Zero. This new diagram conveys less information than the old pyramid. Similarly, DHS’s new 2-level, noncolored alert system conveys less information than the old 5-level, colored system.
It wasn’t changed because of the dietary nature.
It was changed because subliminally the plate represents an “O”.
Then please stick the fork in it.
Is it OK if we put the fruit in a separate bowl? I hate it when the juice from the orange slices gets all over the broccoli with olive oil and parm cheese.
Maybe I can get a waiver.
Just another waste of tax payers money! If they couldn’t read the food pryamid what makes anyone think this will be any better?
LOL! I can’t stand to have my food touch so the plate doesn’t work for me.
OK I just had a thought....shouldn’t they have given a side view of the plate as in have you ever been to an all you can eat and see he fat ones with the mountain of food on the plate? Just because yu divide it doesn’t mean they won’t stack it and think they are fine.
Why does someone with a fat ass get to lecture people on how to properly eat?
LOL, only if you've contributed to the DNC...
