By the extent of the damage I wouldn't be suprised that the cops are faking injuries for some kind of pay day after finding out who hit them.

The accident happened after her car crashed into the traffic police vehicle that had been assigned to escort them and described it as a 'low speed impact.' So perhaps the cops caused this to happen?

The poor police escort, who consisted of one man and one woman, must have been shocked to be hit by the person they were supposed to be protecting!
The two police officers were taken away by ambulance with what are believed to be minor injuries, although it is not known for sure how badly they were injured or where they were taken for treatment.
So they are being treated for shock? Now I understand how they were injured! /s
