I would replace Rudy Giuliani with Andrew Mccarthy, former Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York. A Republican, he is most notable for leading the 1995 terrorism prosecution against Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman and eleven others. The defendants were convicted of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and planning a series of attacks against New York City landmarks. He also contributed to the prosecutions of terrorists who bombed US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania.

He writes for the National Review.

Speaking of Liz Cheney, she might be a good one to enter the race.

This is the experience that qualifies someone as President of the United States?

“”In the United States Army, a lieutenant colonel typically commands a battalion-sized unit (300 to 1,200 soldiers), with a Major as second-in-command and a Command Sergeant Major as principal NCO adviser. A lieutenant colonel may also serve as a brigade, regiment, or task force Executive Officer, or principal staff officer, S-1 (administration and personnel), S-2 (intelligence), S-3 (operations), S-4 (logistics), S-5 (civil/military affairs), or S-6 (computers and communications). Usage of “The S-n” may refer to either a specific staff section or the staff officer leading a section. Lieutenant colonels may also be junior staff at a variety of higher echelons.
In the United States Air Force, a lieutenant colonel is generally a squadron commander or director of operations in the operations group, a squadron commander in the mission support and maintenance groups, or a squadron commander or division chief in a medical group. Lieutenant colonels may also serve on general staffs and may be the heads of some wing staff departments.[citation needed]
In the 21st century U.S. military, the rank of lieutenant colonel is usually gained after 16–22 years of service as an officer.[4] As most officers are eligible to retire after 20 years active service, it is the most common rank at which career officers retire.[5]

Cain/Palin:

First real Black President, and everybody knows it; first female VP.

Cain can speak boldly because he probably wouldn’t go for second term; and Palin can get Hugh and Series experience and contacts for the really big win in 2016.

my two disagreements involve mcinsane. believe this one is obvious regarding my thoughts. mcinsane, reminds me of scKerry. My choice is General H. Norman Schwarzkopf KCB also known as "Stormin' Norman" and "The Bear" (retired) for heading the Department of Defense.

Allen West as Vice-President is my choice. my Reason - strong military requires multiple former military persons in positions of authority at the top of a President Sarah Palin administration. (mho)

Your thoughts are excellent and your list is not lacking in strength and reasoning. Minor adjustments on my part to your list. My compliments on the thought put into the posting of this thread.

Palin/West.

She’s an outsider who knows better than most how to get things done within the reality of the political sphere. She’s not beholden to any particular special interest group. All her dirty laundry has already been aired.

And then I’d have per pick Allen West as her running mate. His character, values, knowledge, military bearing, leadership, and simple manliness would make Obama look like the pansy he is.

Both Palin and West have the executive experience. They’re great on energy, the military, taxes, and social issues. They’re pro-life to the core. They base their decisions on principles, not on expedience. They are fearless. And they’d wipe Obama’s and Biden’s a88es in any debate.

They’ve both proven that they do what is best for the people they’re responsible for, rather than what’s best for themselves, in ways no other candidates have done.

I think Palin/West would be unbeatable in every way.

I like Herman Cain a lot, and if he wins the nomination, I’ll support him with enthusiasm, even going so far as to take time off from work to work on his campaign. But he’s definitely second fiddle to both Palin and West. Perhaps he would be good as Commerce Secretary.

I’d stay away from Giuliani for Homeland Security. In fact, I think they should abolish the department. They’re out of control, and Giuliani would only make it worse. He has no principles except the principle of expediency. He’s willing to take away our rights for the mere appearance of safety. He’s part of the problem.

Palin's got the right beliefs, and she's got the heart. She just needs the right backup to be a credible threat.

Palin / (McChrystal or Petraeus).

I've met Petraeus briefly, and worked under McChystal at Balad. These guys are both titans. You can't beat already having run other countries for executive experience to run ours. Plus, watching them debate Joe Biden on foreign affairs would be like watching a hungry bear debate a girl scout holding a honeycombs.

Palin / West

West seems a straight shooter and a good politician. He's a bit junior to the scene, but so far his instincts look solid. It's an extra twist of the knife that he's more of Biden's ideal of a 'clean, articulate African American' than Obama is.

Palin / Perry

Maybe not the most rock ribbed conservative, but he's a popular governor from a huge state. That's good experience, and makes the platform solid and credible from day one. It's a good alternative from two Senators who obviously couldn't run a lemonade stand.

Palin / Forbes

The economy is going to be the Achilles Heel of the Obama administration. Forbes is a solid guy, and has name recognition on par if not better than Trumps. Being a 'grown up' ticket running against the whiny children currently in power will be a powerful weapon.

What we don't need.

Palin / Pawlenty, Palin / Santorum, or any variation of Palin / (name your boring white guy). Palin's super controversial, and she needs someone on her flank that's able to deflect fire and be a powerful threat in their own right, now a wallflower that leaves her exposed and vulnerable.

We also don't need Palin / (someone controversial or untested.) That would include Paul or Cain. Not that they don't have good ideas, but the ticket is already charged with star power and controversy with Palin in it. She doesn't need another volatile element with possible major vulnerabilities. No Gingrich, etc.

All in all, I like my first four picks, but am open to others in that vein.

The only reason I would want McLame in her cabinet is it would finally get his ass out of the Senate. Do the same with the Maine sisters.

Then, 2 years in, tell them there is a cabinet reshuffle and they are out.
