I’m also glad you posted it. The feelings you expressed are what I deal with on a daily basis.
Tornadoes come when hot clashes with cold, and that pretty much describes the world we live in. Freedom clashes with tyranny. Hope clashes with despair. Life clashes with death.
I can’t help but think we’re in the hellish transition period where the contractions are getting constantly harder, longer, and with less recovery time between.
Transition means the birth is imminent. That is my prayer. Something has to give, and soon. If life, hope, and freedom win this current battle, then this world will continue. If not, then the end of this world will be coming and a new one will begin for us.
No matter what they do, the forces of evil cannot defeat us. They can send us Home early, or they can detain us in discomfort here for a while. They can’t change the ultimate outcome no matter how they rage.
Now that I am almost 60, my favorite Old Testament book is Ecclesiastes. Apparently depressing, but with an incredibly uplifting twist. And it is basically Solomon, after the chicks, the cars, the yachts, the villa in the Alps, etc., realizing what an utter waste it all is. Except...
