ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) - California preacher Harold Camping says his prophecy that the world would end was off by five months because Judgment Day actually will come on October 21. The independent Christian radio host said Monday the apocalypse will come five months after May 21, the original date he predicted.

Herman Camping has been involved with "Biblical numerology" for decades; he used to be a good preacher, but has gone off the deep end, I'm afraid.
As for his followers? Some people are too easily led to the slaughter..:=(
BUFOON!
Rapture by Blondie is a great song.
LOL
Has anybody else noticed that the word "Holy" is gone from the Bible he's holding?
Camping is a lying, false prophet. Anyone who takes him seriously (especially now) is a complete idiot.
Who knows how many weak people lost faith and blame God because of this lying, old man. He’s going to answer to God for each and every soul.
I predict the next folly will have some other reason for not being realized.
What football season? We may not even have one!............Go Cowboys!.........
Because we're known as the land of fruit and nuts.
I sure hope he’s wrong. The USC Trojans play the Domers the next day!
So this guy predicted a wonderful, glorious event, and he and everyone who believed him look like fools now. Give him a break. Just because he’s President of the U.S. and the recovery he promised never happened, his heart was in the right place. . . . . (evil grin)
Forgot to carry the decimal point....
Great analogy! Accurate, too. :)
Is there anyway we can get a mini rapture that just takes Camping so we don’t have to hear about it anymore. LOL!!
He must believe in the “Third Time’s a Charm” doctrine.
I would watch my back if I were him.
Unh-huh.
Harold Camping, from Colorado, Charlie Manson born and raised in Ohio, Barbara Boxer Nancy Pelosi both born and rasied in NY, east coast types.
They come to California because of it's beauty and due to the fact even the fruit bars like year round, near perfect weather.
Why do these fruitcakes always live in California?
“Cause the country’s slanted slightly to the Southwest and everything
loose just kinda rolls there.
Hmmmmmmmmmmm ok.
An old webpage about past doomsday predictions said that Camping predicted the end for 9/6/94, with the second coming on 9/27. Then he predicted it for: 9/29/94, 10/2/94, and 3/31/95. “He gave up setting dates afterwards”. Again, an OLD web page. He did set dates afterwards...

same source: Sep 13, 1988 Edgar C. Whisenant lightened the wallets of many a believer with his best-selling book 88 Reasons Why The Rapture Will Be in 1988. He predicted the Rapture between September 11 and 13 (Rosh Hashanah). After his prediction failed, he released another book: The Final Shout: Rapture Report 1989. (Kyle p.121, Abanes p.93)
Sep 15, 1988 After Whisenant’s prediction failed, he insisted that the Rapture would take place at 10:55 am on September 15. (Abanes p.94)
Oct 3, 1988 Incredulous that yet another prediction failed, Whisenant pushed the date of the Rapture forward to October 3. (Abanes p.94)
