Am I the first 'dummy' to ever post something SO off topic and foreign to FReerepublic?
There just aren't ANY forums (Regardless of topic) where folks respond as quickly as here!
I have this stuff that just 'exploded' and is taking over my lawn and have No idea what it is called or What will do away with it!?
Some answers that I have received from elsewhere are: shotweed, bittercress and clover.
Sure hope there's a weed expert around?
Thanks Everyone.
Very pretty home! Love it!
I also cannot get roundup to kill Snow on a Mountain.
I have Black Medic, among other weeds, in parts of my yard. If you let it grow unabated, it will grow a long taproot. Florida sandy soil is easy to penetrate so it grows an even longer than usual taproot, I believe. I have pulled this weed with a taproot over a foot long. Other soils may not allow such a long root, I don’t know. While Black Medic may be a nuisance, it is by no means my worst weed problem. Purple Nutsedge, Rattlesnake Root, Dichondria, Oxalis and Dollar Weed are much higher on my list of problems..................
That pic is Oxalis...........The leaves are edible in small quantities............
Why would you want to? It’s beautiful plant. Use it for background or borders. Native plants make the best landscapes...............
When using RoundUp, it is important that the target plant is dry. No watering, no dew, no rain, for a couple of days after treatment.
The goal is to get the plant to drink the RoundUp like water or dew.
Timing and preparation is very important.
I have never met anything that RoundUp will not kill. Just lucky I guess.
Another method of killing plants more naturally is to buy some chem fertilizer as strong as you can find like 20-20-20.
Just dump it on what ever you want to kill. I mean dump it! Pile it on. Very effective. I’ve killed full grown trees like this.
Just my stupid opinion...good luck guys
I did that, joking that I was only going to kill the stuff on my side, but it seems to thrive on RoundUp.
You two pop up everywhere. How wonderful to be interested in everything!
You might try the Weed Science Society site (NOT the Weed Society—totally different animal/vegetable/whatever) if you don’t mind sifting through tons of photos and descriptors.
My store bought pepper seeds plants are still small and growing. I was just checking to see how yours are doing.
Even you, SG, even you....
(talk about cognitive dissonance...)
HAHAHAHAAHAHAAHAHAHAAHAAAAA!
How do I post a primal raspberry?
Hahahahahahahahah
Um....I was kind of hoping you’d help me spell it.
eye- tee
Is that a Honda in your Kudzu or are you just happy to see me?
