Give a look at Herman Cain. Straight shooting, non politician with good ideas and business experience.

I attended the county Republican meeting yesterday and our speaker was Herman Cain. He is declaring on Sat. his intention to run.

I was so impressed with this man. He has the business experience and the common sense attitude we need in the WH

On every issue, immigration, foreign policy, entitlements, adhering to Constitution, budgets etc. he is spot on with our conservative values. In addition, he is not politically correct, he says what he means.

Asked who he would have as a running mate, he only would say who he respected and admired. First choice, DeMint.......that was fine with me......what a ticket that would be.

I urge you all to take a look at him, he's my choice now.

Seriously, you’ve been here since 2000. You don’t know how to mark a post as a vanity and classify it properly?

I don’t agree. Oh, I AM a Cain supporter, but we really, really need people of West’s quality in the Congress.

The last thing we need to do is take Obama campaign slogans and slap them on our candidates.

Yes.....most of us know this.

Problem: For the most part, the rest of the country does not know Mr. Cain, and Mr. Cain seems singularly unable to advance his agenda or cause(s).

However, we'll know when Mr. Cain has made it into the inner circle....the msm will begin to attack him in the same manner they do all "mainstream" right wing candidates.

As of yet, the msm is mum on Mr. Cain for the most part.

Problem: Mr. Cain is wont to play the race card....loosely quoted, "I'll be attacked virorously because I'm not a white candidate." Playing the race card at all....and in particular this early on, may be - in the final analysis - the measure of the man.

Best we can do is watch and wait.

I’ll take either one happily but I don’t think both on the same ticket will work.

>>> Problem: For the most part, the rest of the country does not know Mr. Cain, and Mr. Cain seems singularly unable to advance his agenda or cause(s).>>>

Keep in mind that general national name recognition at this point is irrelevant. He is extremely well known in Iowa, NH and SC and led the latest Iowa Republican poll by a wide margin and is generally known in SC for winning their debate.

These primaries (and caucus) are 8 months off, but if he does well in those three the national recognition will take care of itself. And his name recognition has probably quadrupled in the last month, so I dont’ think it’s accurate to say that he hasn’t been able to advance his cause. (though I do agree some MSM folks are still ignoring him).

No one heard of Barack Obama at this stage of the game either. I agree that given some time he will become more recognizable.

What an impressive candidate.

The question is, will the Progressives figure out a way to destroy this man for being as independent, thoughtful and courageous as he is?

Will they also find a way to use the “race card” to their advantage and make it effective with the hardcore fourty-percent of the electorate?

If he is nominated, he will truly become the first black man to run for president and not the incubated,
propagandized and groomed-for-the-office president who is now in office.

IMHO

As I stated...we'll have to watch and see.

As of now....Mr. Cain is "lumped" in with the other "non-serious" potential candidates...and that is about as much attention as he gets.

We'll have to watch and see.
