Amongst the current candidates, she a much better option. No candidate this cycle is perfect or a guaranteed win, but she has the highest ceiling. She would still have to run a campaign for the ages to reverse a portion of the public opinion, and I have no rose colored glasses about that task. I don’t see another candidate right now that would be able to wage a campaign vs the Obama and his media minions.
Cain has the campaign skills, but has to overcome a resume never seen in a candidate. Bachmann is right on the issues, but has never run anything. She is essentially a mid-bench 3rd termer in the House. That’s a tough place to start a national campaign. Everyone else, Daniels included, is ill-equipped in conservative philosophy and/or the campaign skills necessary for a national campaign.
I agree completely with this. I love Sarah but she must EARN her win. I support her running fully but she has her work cut out for her. And, like you, there are other good conservatives popping their heads up that I could consider, but none of the magnitude of a Sarah Palin.
Sarah can hit the homerun. I believe this strongly.
We could do worse.
