The automotive dashboard units don't need the precision handhelds do, mine was made for marine navigation when 5 or 10 feet can be critical.

If you can get a decent signal it will put you right on a small target.

I’m a pilot. I have Garmins in all five of the aircraft I fly. Why is accuracy within five or ten feet critical in marine navigation?
