Theory about 2012 Presidential Race

Posted on 05/16/2011 11:06:34 PM PDT by ConservativeMan55

We're beginning to see some strong candidates drop out.

Why? Perhaps these candidates feel if they band together to support one person that will make the candidate who goes against Obama that much stronger.

What if candidates like Romney, Huckabee, Trump, Gingrich, Santorum..all drop out and then they all banded together and they each used their own strengths to campaign for the nominee.

Imagine all those candidates supporting either Cain or Palin or Bachman.

I think these candidates will drop out in hopes of getting a position in the next Republican Administration as well.

Huckabee dropped out. Trump dropped out.

I think both of them believe they could have won.

The GOP Machine almost always nominates the next guy in line and that would be Romney.

He also has the cash.

But, Paliin has the People!

“I think both of them believe they could have won.”

Both of them are delusional.

It seems like the media is slightly pushing Romney.

But what if Palin doesn’t run?

I think Huckabee could have won the nomination.

I think that everyone who dropped out so far knew they were not going to win. Internals are a lot different than the spin polls coming from the MSM. If the Huckster had baggage before, it sure hasn’t gone anywhere in 2 years. He had issues. Trump probably wasn’t going to run anyway. This was just a stunt to boost ratings to squeeze out another year of Apprentice.

Here's my theory: they all know that the US economy is going Tango Uniform real soon, and nobody wants to be the sucker left holding the bag.

the table has been cleared for Sarah and if she does not get in the race under these conditions, there are not conditions where she would jump in.

If she does not run, we are going to be stuck with Romney.

Or perhaps Daniels or Perry.

Great idea - unfortunately with all of their help, the recipient would still have to be acceptable to the public! Heh (Actually, their help may be a hindrance this time around). I really don’t care about their endorsements - it is time to look for a new, real candidate. That means looking outside the RHINO crowd...maybe West, Cain, others not yet declared. There is still time and when the right one decides to run, the money will flow via the internet...

“I think Huckabee could have won the nomination.”

Huckabee is politically bipolar.

He talks a big social conservative game, but he buys into too many do gooder liberal nonsense.

Obama may raise $1B. If we run another underfunded candidate this year it’s over. This one will take money so that will rule out Bachmann, Santorum and Paul. Not sure what T-Paw has for a money base or Palin. If Romney and Huntsman team up that’s a ton o’ money but they could compete.

Being in Cali I have seen the Chuck DeVore vs the establishment race. Yes Carly went down swinging but at least she had a chance (and she was the Palin backed candidate).
