Seth MacFarlane - the guy behind the Family Guy is bringing The Flintstones to Fox.
The announcement was made today. Production will start this fall. The Flintstones will launch in 2013 launch.
One of the first things I ever drew was Fred Flintstone, MacFarlane told advertisers. As for his re-imagination, he said the show has to keep up with the times but some things will remain familiar for old fans. The characters will look the same but the only thing that will change is the stories, he said. Whats the [prehistoric] version of an Ipod?
Fred will be Fred (or Peter), Dino will be talking now, presumably, a liberal like Brian.
Nothing like 5 minutes of 40 year old Conway Twitty footage.

In episode 1, Fred goes on strike at the quarry and busts heads of anyone crossing the picket line. Wilma is now a physician and decides to open Bedrock’s first abortion clinic. Barney is a community organizer who sells drugs out of his log car. Betty is an alcoholic who mutilates herself in between stints as a porno actress. Pebbles and Bam Bam are left alone at home and are taken away by social workers. Meanwhile, Dino gets shot in Fred’s front yard because he barked at a policeman.
This version will show Barney and Fred having intimate relations. Yipeeee.
They will ruin it with leftwing bias

How's that for politically incorrect.
Family Guy is very funny when it’s not overtly political. The first couple of seasons were hilarious, then it went full retard liberal. I loved the episode when Quagmire went off on Brian for being a hypocritical left winger. I was surprised, because McFarlane voices both characters. And the Rush Limbaugh episode was surprisingly good, too.
The franchise was ruined forever by the live-action movie which featured Rosie O’Donnell as Betty Rubble. That was an all-time “C’mon man” bit of casting.
