Agreed! This modern-day remake was too flashy and had a creepy homosexual undercurrent. I didn't like it.

Jeramy Britt was outstanding and true to the original. The recent big screen attempts are pure Hollywood. If someone likes that they wouldn’t read the tales anyhow.
