This thread and the topic of this thread was about a rally FOR Israel. That was my interest. I believe that men are imperfect, but not all are evil.
The points you made about what Mormons believe about Jews, Christians ALSO believe about Jews, but that doesn’t make me hate Christians or Christianity either.
In my life, I must have heard a zillion times how damned I am. But you know what? Men cannot damn me or doom me. Their words are words. G-d is always with me, so what should I fear? Dogma? Doctrine? Created by men. Changes when the wind blows. No. I am who I am and that is who I’ll stay.
It bothers me those who claim to know what the devil thinks. Makes me wonder how they know those intimate details with such certainty. Makes me wonder that those who claim righteousness for themselves see fit to hate others for doing the same. Hate is evil. And I see it on this thread. It is disgusting. And hypocritical in the extreme. Hate is a disease of the mind and I just don’t wanna be immersed in it like what I see here. It’s an assault on the mind and there is nothing righteous about it. No room in my life for it. Outta here.
I happen to agree with you.
IMO, Beck is doing a good thing here. And those painting him in a negative light because hes Mormon, are reaching. Ive been watching Beck for years, and he, especially as of late, has been calling himself a Christian, not Mormon. And as far as I believe (and know), Christianity is a personal relationship between oneself and God. To me, the fact that he has been known to be a Mormon is minute...after all, one could say school is a religion - or a cult for that matter.
And from what Ive seen of Beck, he is trying to unite everyone, of all faiths, to come together and be better people themselves, for the good of the country. As hes said numerous times, if we start with ourselves, WE can make this country great again. Its those who continually demean each other, ridicule, find faults, name call, etc, being divisive is what they (Progressives) want from us, and I see no reason to be divisive over Becks message. Those are the people who are hurting this country and helping it along the path of doom, if you will. IMO, of course. ;)
Funny, I never considered Jews to be gentiles.
In my life, I must have heard a zillion times how damned I am.
Well, you are in the same boat with others who reject Jesus - his words, not mine. Paul (formerly Saul) explained that he would rather lose his life if it allowed his race - the Jews, to know Jesus. However, my view is that as the nation of Israel you are the apple of G-d's eye and woe to anyone who threatens it (bad news for the USA under 0bama).
It bothers me those who claim to know what the devil thinks.
How then did you gain your knowledge of evil mesta? Why did G-d have the scriptures written including the origin of evil (satan) and his actions if not to teach us to be wary of them.
Hate is evil. And I see it on this thread.
That is a manifestation of it, but your definition of 'hate' is skewed. I warn of mormon doctrine coloring Beck's Restoring Courage - you welcome his mormon based rally with open arms. Is the warning to open your eyes to make sure you know what you are embracing now 'hate'? I find that thinking and 'labeling' rather nonproductive and an excuse for ignoring the issue.
Then there are those who think those claims are wrong.
I have to wonder where they get THEIR information from.
