Well, most Americans do have a limited understanding of ancient China.

But that new “Kung Fu Panda” sequel should help rectify that situation.

Yes, I do believe we cretins lack the capacity to see beyond the quaintly nuanced foibles of Mao's murdered millions.

What do you call a Chinese Restaurant in Beijing?
A Restaurant.

I think of China as a human ant hill. Very simplistic.

I’ve actually tried several restaurants in Beijing where they serve Peking Duck.

Here’s my verdict:

THE PEKING DUCKS IN NEW YORK CITY TASTES BETTER THAN THE PEKING DUCK IN PEKING !!

Maybe their best chefs have all moved here...

Americans like to keep things simple, because unlike China, we have a Future, their population has stagnated and they now must enjoy the more "Sophisticated" things in life.

Americans have woken up to the nightmare the 5th Column Communists here in America have created for their Chinese masters, and they don't like it.

We have begun the steps to take back our Government, and once we do,we can elected a Citizen Executive (Like Reagen was) that will HELP to fix our Economy, Rebuild our Military and tell the Red Chinese to go F#&% Themselves, because they are going to need too, after the Genocide they have wrought on their own Futureless population.

“they’re very simple people.”

Who are unexpectedly creative. We would still be a third world backwater if we hadn’t perfected the art of stealing every piece of technology the Americans developed. Aren’t we Chinese a clever bunch?

Thank you President Clinton. We couldn’t have done it with out you.

No, the American people are extraordinarily sophisticated, as evidenced by their enthusiastic election our very nuanced President pro tem, Barack H Obama.

Now, would a “simple people” have ever done such a thing? Of course not.

Simple people don’t like being lied to repeatedly; only ever so sophisticated people are willing to accept that.

Sounds like the vice premier of China and POTUS are on the same page in their contempt for the average American.

China’s “ancient civilization” has always been about power for a select few, and poverty for (and domination over) the masses. No change in 2011.

So what have been the major Chinese contributions adopted by people around the world? Who is their Mozart? Sure every once in a while some Chinese Circus comes around and entertains us, but I don't think it's quite the same thing. Anyway when they come, they show up on airplanes invented by Americans (or European descent), using telephones and computers invented here. The watch televisions and listen to radios invented here. Maybe they read books thanks to some dead white European. Except for gunpowder, I'm not sure what it is that we have to thank the Chinese for.
