Good for Perry! While realizing that our governor does has some RINO traits, the snubbing of the current _resident is a plus for him.

Perry is busy shampooing his hair on that day.

Perry met him at the airport on his last trip. Tried to hand him an envelope containing an immigration proposal, Obama refused it.
I'll see if I can find a link..

The prez didn’t do the snubbing?

The prez didnt do the snubbing? I'll report, you decide. Here's more from the article:
An aide to Governor Perry tells Fox News' Mike Emanuel the White House wanted the governor to greet president Obama in El Paso. But Governor Perry, who lives and works in Austin, suggested the two meet there and possibly take an aerial tour of recent wild fire damage in Texas. Perry's spokesperson Catherine Frazier tells Fox News, "We are unable to meet the president on the tarmac out in El Paso, as the White House offered. We did alternatively offer to meet or greet the president when he arrives in Austin, or arrange a flyover of wildfire damage, but the White House declined."

I have this feeling Perry is going to throw his hat into the presidential ring before the end of the year.
And Palin & Perry have an energy-state relationship going way back.
...just saying, Texas has the strongest economy of all the other states right now.

So the President of Texas and the Oval Office occupant couldn't come to agreement. Maybe we need to send Obama one of those certificates that make him an honorary colonel in the Texas army so he has sufficient rank. Then he would have something authentic.

Obama hates Texas. Why would anybody there ever vote for him again. It is easy for people to believe the birth certificate thing, because Obama just does not act like an American. He acts like a foreigner.

You speak with forked tongue...you need to be a bona fide citizen to become a Texas Colonel....that has yet to be authenticated.....

Perry is busy shampooing his hair on that day.Yes, Perry has his faults, but he has never been a leftie. I know his family, they were Dems until Rick switched parties. (I have been a Republican all my life, my first vote for Pres. was Nixon) But none of his family were lefties, ever.
Obozoism does not play well in Texas. You guys can talk about demographics in Texas and how the state is about to turn Blue. The only "blue" in the state is in Austin, Houston and parts of Dallas. Rednecks, Olies, Dirt Farmers, Construction Workers and other sane people HATE Obozo....

Texas has the strongest economy of all the other states right now. There's no doubt that Texas has among the strongest economies among the 57 states and there are some rankings that place Texas at the very top.
A contrary view is expressed in this article that touts North Dakota as the nation's best, including the #1 job growth, lowest unemployment rate and a budget surplus. I also give ND a lot of credit on the diversity index.

Obama hates Texas. Obama just does not act like an American. Apologies to all who have seen my postings of these maps in other threads. To your point, Cindy, I think these well illustrate just where O'Bambi's hatreds lie along geographic lines:
Marxism never went over all that well here in Texas and the rest of Dixie. Freedom and liberty are cherished in the right to work states and the usurper will have none of that, will he?

I posted this reply on another thread and I shall post it on this one too. That other thread on the subject is timestamped 15:59 and mine was 16:04. What can I say? I type very s-l-o-w-l-y. :-)
It wasn't yet there when I started my laborious process of posting this one.

I heard that the KY gov was too busy to meet up with 0bama on Monday when he went to Ft Campbell, as well. Something about a strawberry festival or other prior commitment.
