The restaurant will open its first two area locations in Frisco and Allen at 10:30 a.m.

Yes first location that is outside their maximum 500 mile range. What makes Texas significant is IN N OUT had to find a meat processing and distribution plant since they do not freeze their meat and use only the best and freshest. So they have contracted with a Texas family run meat processing company however, I believe in time, they will build their own meat processing butcher plant.
This positions them to further expand farther east, west, and even in the middle states I suppose.
A big move for them since currently, all locations are within distance where the meat is trucked but not frozen. Including Utah.
Which is better-In and Out or Five Guys?
Well, the competition thing might be tough, but if you knew anything about In-And-Out Burger, you’d know they’re anything but “ex-pats”. They’re owned by solid Christians and run an organization that has wonderful integrity. They’re a shining example of what America is all about.
Texans can be very stubborn. I have found that mentality here. Some are even comparing Whattaburger to IN N OUT and anyone who has had the 2 know, Whattabuger is not even in the same league.
I believe in the end, quality will win out. And of course, economics. My sister in law who runs a JC Penny near the new IN N OUT burger lost 2 employees to IN N OUT. IN N OUT will provide good jobs, they pay higher than minimum wage and you can bet the Meat processing Plant scored big time.
As I said, for the most part, Texans are kind, nice, wonderful people and I think they will embrace quality. However, I have noticed that their a stubborn almost mean spirited attitude with some of the Texans I have met here since moving from CA.
When I Moved here from CA, I bought a new home, had a new floor put in, and a new pool. So most Texans are happy to have people with capital come in. But there are always those who seem unhappy, stubborn, or just plain unsociable and unwelcoming. But they are in the minority.
I’ve heard Bonaire is one of the best scuba diving locations on earth.
OK...
We have IAOB’s here, but I still prefer a Whataburger.
Well, you say that until you have a double double, fries and chocolate shake.
Then you'll never stay away. Trust me.
I would like to buy the franchise rights for Ohio, please.
Never had a Five Guys burger... have never seen a Five Guys restaurant. What region of the country are they?
Not bad, but it needs bacon.
Close, but my wife gives the edge to In-And-Out because of taste, she says.
LOL.......IN N OUT doesn’t franchise and never will. Family owned, the sole heiress is a 20 something old granddaughter, Lynsi Martinez. She’s publicity shy, she gets the whole company when she turns 35. Hopefully, it will never change. never add all the crap other places add......Whattaburger even sells Chorizo......LOL.
IN N OUT..the same since 1948.
Got ‘em out here in southeast Virginia.
Yeah, Five Guys excellent. Meat is excellent. Fresh, all very good. I rate them tied with Carl’s Jr. And Five guys has been a hit here in Texas too.
IN N OUT still number 1. Carl’s Jr. and Five Guys?....both excellent....”pick em”
Since Phil was diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis last year, he's actually had to become a vegetarian. I don't think it was a lifestyle choice, but rather necessary so that his treatments were maximally effective.
I've had an In n' Out burger once in my life, when I went to visit my uncle in Palm Springs. Indeed, it was an awesome burger. Luckily, I live in Central Ohio so I have access to a Thurman Burger. I'll console myself with that.
I think Carl's Jr's wastes their advertising dollars on stupid themes instead of focusing squarely on how GOOD their food is.
Did you have a problem with Chili's moving into CA? Boy, I sure didn't!
Waaaay back when, we used to go to the original Chili's near Dallas (on Greenville or Greenback lane, I think).....a run down hole-in-the-wall place with a gravel parking lot....but oh, so delicious!
I was so excited when they expanded but it's not even close to that original flavor!
Carls Jr ads turned me off when they had those sloppy, slurpy ads that turned my stomach listening to the actors take a bite.
I don’t want to need to do my laundry after eating at a burger joint.
We had an In-And-Out around the corner from us in CA - had to stop going: one order of cheeseburger, fries, and strawberry milkshake maxed out my calorie intake for the day.
IN N OUT has a distinctive taste. More like homemade.
