Eh, I hope you stay in a lot.
I ‘Eat out” a couple of times per month.
Usually a local buffet, no tip, “Service” consist of taking my money up front, and showing me to my seat.
Very occasionally “fast food”, no tip for a meal wrapped in paper and handed to me out of a window!
Any place that puts the “Tip” into the price automatically forfeits my patronage.
Once I a while I go “Out” to an actual restaurant, the tip if any, depends on the service, but it will never exceed 10%, our sales tax is 7%.
Why should the waiter expect more than the state & city mandate?
If the restaurant does not pay a decent wage, let them go out of business for lack of hired help.
Forget to add, I’ve worked in the “Food Industry”.
It’s they sort of work that should teach young people to stay in school and study hard to avoid having to do it for any length of time.
When I meet people who have done it for decades I tend to feel sorry for them, and wonder about their intelligence or commitment to a decent life.
