Actress Eva Longoria, who has met with President Barack Obama at the White House to discuss immigration reform told CNSNews.com that given the amount of Latinos that supported Obama in the 2008 election, there is "definitely" a "need for action" on immigration.
In October 2009, Longoria told CNSNews.com on Capitol Hill that its "time to take on immigration reform." CNSNews.com asked Longoria on Thursday why she thinks it has not happened yet.
"Oh gosh, well, I think the Presidents been a little busy with the economy and health care and the wars. You know, unfortunately, this issue has been on the national agenda for many, many administrations so its not really the fault of this administration; although with the amount of Latinos that supported Obama, there definitely is a need for action on immigration and also its an economic issue," she told CNSNews.com on Capitol Hill.
"I mean people want to frame it as an immigrant issue but it really is an economic issue. We have an emerging market within our own borders. We have kids with fire in their belly and were sending them back to a country bitter and angry and I think we should capture those children and let them contribute to our economy and society."

Ewwwww!Blech!
“they were some kind of Spanish nobility”
Theres no whore like an old whore.
The constitution says this about nobility:
“No title of nobility shall be granted by the United States: and no person holding any office of profit or trust under them, shall, without the consent of the Congress, accept of any present, emolument, office, or title, of any kind whatever, from any king, prince, or foreign state.”
Thats because european “nobility” status comes from nothing that an American or Texan recognizes as a virtue. It’s a badge of shame. No president should have time for her advice. Embarrassing
“there is “definitely” a “need for action” on immigration”
Yup!
Herman Cain nailed it Thursday night:
1-Secure the Border.
2-Enforce current immigration laws.
3-Fix the bureaucracy to expedite the current immigration process.
4- Let the States do what the Federal Government won’t do.
To be more specific, they were minor gentry in New Spain and hold their land just North of the Rio Grande by direct grant from the King of Spain. This apparently qualifies her to comment on landless Mexican peasants.
The fruit doesn't fall far from the tree. That certainly explains her support for illegals.
Sir Elton John. That tells me all I need to know. I’ll pass.
Birds of a feather...
Ping!
It a great issue for Obama its never going anywhere, even when Democrats holding all three branches and he can blame the GOP.
This country is being remade in the leftists’ image.
Read (or try to read) the last part of this article. Despite blathering on for several paragraphs, Emilio Estefan still can’t string together a single coherent sentence.
I feel a lot better now that Eva has figured it all out. I’m going to take wild guess that her solution is “Let them all stay”.
Got your “need for action” right here, Eva!
Send them all back bitter and angry and let them go off in Mexico
Don’t get mad get even-City of Houston voters go here....
www.stopthemagnet.com
lol...and a fair one at that I'd wager
Cuanto fue mamita?
“I mean people want to frame it as an immigrant issue but it really is an economic issue.”
Really, Eva? It’s both those issues and many more. SHEESH. Amplification of (useful) idiots ALERT!
