At an age when most of his peers are worrying about driver's licenses and the SAT, Alec Loorz is tackling some weightier challenges.
This week, for example, he's suing the U.S. government in an effort to fight climate change. And right after that, he'll lead what's being billed as a "Million Kid March" in 25 countries.
"I think it's awesome," the 16-year-old environmental activist and founder of Kids vs. Global Warming said by phone from his home in Oak View. "We don't have political power. We don't have the money to compete with corporate lobbyists. We can't vote. All we have is our voice."

How will the kids be getting to the march?
I recently read Christopher Horner’s book Red Hot Lies. It is an excellent, excellent book a must-read if you have any interest in the great global warming swindle.
In the book, he spends a chapter on how the leftists in the global warming alarmists use children in their cause. It’s disturbing to consider, but it is actually part of their plan to leverage children to exert pressure on their parents regarding global warming.
He did have one particular quote that I found quite funny. There was apparently a middle school science teacher who made a video called The Most Terrifying Video You’ll Ever See (You can Google it and watch it if you’re interested ) In discussing the video, Christopher Horner says:
“...that, it admits up front that it makes Al Gore and his fever dream (fever dream is referring to the movie An Inconvenient Truth) seem like a sissified Pollyanna. I had hoped that was some kind of strange code for dishonest, but instead it seems that someone who has custody of children for several hours every day finds Al Gore too calm and rational. The National Education Association seems inclined to agree. It occurs to me that a safer option than subjecting my kids to professional educators is home schooling. And by that, I mean sealing them in a drum with Alec Baldwin and a furious badger. Much safer.”
In wind powered solar cars, of course, sheesh...:=)
It’s pathetic. I sure hope that kid isn’t planning on going to one of Al Gore’s weekend climate retreats somewhere.
I wouldn’t trust my kid alone in a room with Al Gore. We know how he is with masseuses
The kid says he doesn’t have money or political power. Apparently he’s short on brains and reading skills too if he didn’t get the climategate memo.

Exactly, and this thread proves it.
Who could not want to listen to the "CHILDREN"...:=(
Brainwashed lemmings.
That’s Baba Boxer on the left - dumb as a rock.
Indeed!
Happy Cinco de Mayo, mas cereza person...:=)

No prob, M+P will fire up the 12-year old Chevy Suburban.
I hope that this kid will look back someday and consider that he helped to build his own bleak existence. Maybe he can answer phones for some Chinese company.
I just looked this kid up on Facebook and he lives in Papua New Guina. Is that part of the US? Must be if he is sueing the US Govt.

Well I kind of put them in the same category normally, but thank you for clarifying!
this pic looks like it was taken in some liberal European community-obviously his parents can fund junior’s jaunts & junkets .
he’s sooooooo special/sarc
Why the hat and gloves, kid?
Obama needs these voters ( as well as the dead and illegals) if he has any chance to win in 2012...
