Our government and media keep SPREADING THE LIE that this is a “war on terror”.

When in fact no matter how you slice it, it is a war on Islam.
Which is ipso facto a war on muslims.

How can we possibly keep letting them in and trying to pretend they are citizens when they have VOWED to kill us?

Now cut that out. We have Muslim allies in the current war.

We are in a hot war with Salafism, the brand of Islam that Al Qaeda and the Taliban, and I suspect this loud mouthed imam, subscribe to, and in a cold war with Ta’ajili Shi’ism, the brand of Islam the Iranian mullahs subscribe to.

Yeah, we could fight the war without Muslim allies, but it would be a lot harder, and cost a great deal more American blood and treasure. The Northern Alliance, remember them? Mostly Sunnis some Sufis. They provided some of the muscle for clearing the Taliban out of a fair bit of Afghanistan. Ayatollah Al-Sistani, remember him? “Orthodox” Shi’ite, the sort that says “wait quietly for the 12th imam.” The fellow who persuaded the Iraqis that super-majority provisions in the Iraqi constitution and constitutional adoption process weren’t an infidel trick, but a benefit we’d given ourselves at our Founding and were sharing with the Iraqis.

Quite frankly a war between the U.S. or the West and Islam qua Islam is implausible. It is too easy to exploit the sectarian and ethnic fault-lines in Islam to pick up allies, and I jolly well advocate doing it, not trying to fight the entire Muslim ummah, Sunni and Shi’ite all at once.
