Burial at sea is not that uncommon. I work with former navy and merchant mariners who have shared stories from years back. Sew them into a canvas with a weight. Over and done.

Why was it important that OBL’s body be treated with respect to the Muslim tradition, but not the others who were killed in the firefight.
I’ll note that the “wife as human shield” story has already been dissavowed by the Obama administration, so that answers one of my questions.

what the hell did you WANT them to do with the body? fly it from a flag pole? btw, this horse crap about his body being buried according to muslim law is just that. The muslims are claiming burial at sea is NOT according to muslim law.
I don’t think disposing of the body right away was at all a good move, and it makes me wonder what they are hiding.
Is that clear enough for you? I would have fed his body to pigs if it were up to me.
I don’t think it takes more than a few hours to ID the body. Once it’s on a ship and high ranking personel see it and interview those that brought it, that’s really all they need. no point in keeping it any longer than necessary.
That’s my opinion.
