I agree with the original poster. This seals the deal for Obama in 2012. People keep citing the approval ratings of Bush Sr and Bush Jr. but the difference is they did not have the media in their pocket (including Fox News ) the way Obama does.
The truth is even before this Obama had to be considered a strong favorite to get re-elected given his GUARANTEED 100 % black vote and 70% hispanic vote are nearly impossible to overcome given the current racial make up of the USA ( it wont be long before blacks and mexicans out number whites) so it wont get any better for future election cycles.
Now you have this ... The media will give ALL the credit to Obama.
I would be shocked if Trump ran after this. Why would he waste all his own money on a losing cause, and ditto for Romney. I believe we will be left with some 3rd string candidate like T-Paw just because somebody has to run, and they will probably lose 45-47 states.

This will not ensure Obama’s reelection (the fecklessness of the Republicans might do that-but that’s another story), The death of Osama will give Barack Obama some popularity in next few weeks; then the news cycle will move on, the American people will forget/and get back to life under Obama’s economics.
Obama’s popularity will peak for a while, but this will become yesterday’s news. The first President Bush was believed to be unbeatable immediately after Operation Desert Storm.

Zero’s popularity will last until Americans fill their gasoline tanks again today and go to the grocery store and see the prices up for another day. Or, those that will receive their pink slips this week.
Reality is that Zero had absolutely nothing to do with OBL’s death. Thank our troops. The arrogant Dictator is trying to take the credit. Slime personified, IMO.
And thank President GW Bush for putting policies in place that allowed this to happen. And remember that Obama is on the record of wanting to dismatle those policies. I am glad he gave the order, but suspect it had a lot to do with his internal polling.
