The '59 film, The Killer Shrews, found a group of folks on an island with the ravenous beasts. This time James Best's ship captain is hired by a reality crew to return to the island and...you guessed it, the shrews attack again.
Please let us know when the flick is released.
Indeed...
As Tiny Tim said, “God bless the killer shrews, every one.”
I’m hoping for a remake of this.

Sam Elliot *and* malevolent frogs?
What more do you need?
I bet they can’t play Dixie-land jazz.
It was always one of my favorite monster/horror flicks, and I don’t know why, it just works.
I have it on DVD and have watched it a couple of times in recent years and I look forward to starting a beer drinking, living room film fest at some point, this film will be one the first ones that I show.
Even in the golden age of REALLY bad horror movies this one stood out. If I recall, the shrews were dogs in costume. This is right up there with Corman’s “Attack of the Crab Monsters”, but no where near as funny.
As Juliette said, “Killer shrews, killer shrews, wherefore art thou, killer shrews.”

Classics and guaranteed to give any young boy nightmares.
Paper mache'd carpet dogs!!!! Ieeeeee......
James Best starred in Sam Fuller’s classic SHOCK CORRIDOR, and was also in that creepy Afred Hitchcock TV episode, THE JAR. He must be well over 80 by now.
I want a killer shrew- albeit a calm one.
I LOVE it. I saw this movie at a very young age when it all seemed very serious and scary.
Now they need to redo the one about the walking tree and my life will be complete.
This movie scared the heck out of me as a kid. Watched it a couple of months ago — hilarious!
Wonder how difficult it was to keep those rugs and teeth on those pups. Animal cruelty? Lol.
LOL, same here!
OMG...you just *had* to bring up “Attack of the Mushroom People”!
To this day, I cannot bear the thought of actually eating a mushroom...:))
[and the old “There’s a fungus among us” TV ads made me freak out, too]
*sigh*
I miss the old Saturday “Creature Feature” shows.
Plenty of fodder for inducing lingering childhood neuroses.
:)
Heck, how did they get them to keep sticking their heads under those tubs?
