I have been to Westminster Abbey....it is truly a treasure to
stand in the very spots where kings of old are buried. I could
have stayed a lot longer, but hubby got tired of my reading
all the obituaries and just standing and “feeling” the presence
of all those people down through the ages who have also stood there. :)
It is indeed. I thought the wedding was a wonderful traditional service. There is nothing wrong with majesty, especially it is in the glorification of God.
The only thing about Westminster at that ceremony that would unnerve me is the possibility you’d be sitting on someone’s headstone. As I’m sure you know, the only headstone you can’t walk on there is the Unknown.
I was so overwhelmed when I entered the doors that I began to weep.
