Please pray for Freeper SandRat who took a fall from his roof today.
FR "DesertCoyote" posted this on the Canteen thread tonight...
I just wanted to let you guys know that SandRat is in the hospital. He fell off the roof changing out the pads in the swamp cooler and lost his footing and fell about 4-5 feet. Apparently he was unconscious for a while and when he woke up, he drove himself to the hospital. He has 8 broken ribs and a concussion. He is being transferred up to University Medical Center in Tucson for a Neurology evaluation. Will keep you guys posted since this is a specific request from Sandrat.

Thanks for the reminder. I hope you’re fully recovered. Prayers, to SandRat for a full recovery. I just turned 49 and I feel like I’m 30 but every once in a while I get a reminder that I’m not.
Prayers to the great FRiend Sandrat. I hope that his recovery is successful and that he will be back to Free Republic soon.

Well crazy accidents do happen, even when you least expect it.

Hoping your pain from the fall will be lessened through our prayers.
I just got home from visiting SandRat at UMC and when I got there he was propped up part way, mainly lying down and was having some trouble talking and was definately in pain. His face lit up greatly when he saw the belly made by his first grandchild! By the time we were getting ready to leave, SandRat was propped up almost into a full sitting position and was talking non-stop, except when the morphine made him doze off, and had an appetite.
Such great improvment just from this morning. He has a couple staples in his head from the fall, and has now conceeded to the swamp cooler and says it’s now time to get A/C. Will continue to keep everyone posted as I know things. He sends his thanks to everyone!
