A significant increase in magnitude 5+ earthquakes worldwide has occurred in the last 24 hours, especially in the area around Vanuatu Islands. A similar increase in 5+ earthquakes mainly near the east coast of Honshu, Japan, occurred prior to the magnitude 9.1 earthquake and resulting tsunami.

Looking at FEMA disaster declarations I see that Michigan did have a disaster declaration for hurricane Katrina. LOL
Other than that we’ve only had a couple dozen disaster declarations since the 1950s.
Please feel free to opine on the graph. Except for the last column, which is projected for 2011, it's based on actual numbers from the USGS database.
Makes you wonder how Texas would survive as an independent country.
Continue to beg the US for support?
We shall eagerly await your return home. Maybe we could throw a party. We used to do that more frequently. Glad you are not signing up again. God bless.
I am close to Hawthorne. I agree the net brings more stuff, not necessarily more data. The thing about that swarm is that for about two weeks every quake was 4.0+/- 0.2. Now they are running under 4. Can’t remember many swarms that tight.
BTW how the heck are you?
Oh, yeah...I remember my cousins in Orange County referring to "earthquake weather." Seems to me all of the quakes I experienced in Kalifornia were on cloudy or partially overcast days...
BTW how the heck are you?
Doing great - getting ready to come home soon and so looking forward to it.
How are things with you?
Life is good in the high desert. Spring is slow this year but it often is.
I hope they are okay — I would hate for Algore to get the satisfaction of finally seeing them sink.
