There’s a difference between attacking someone and pointing out some errors in his theology or philosophy.
In case you missed it, let me revisit an important point in my post. For many years the British people have been ground down by socialism, Marxism, multiculturalism. They are struggling financially, and they are being destroyed by out-of-control Muslims and a white and black underclass that dwarfs ours. Their kids aren’t taught British history and conditions are so bad that 250000 Britons emigrate every year. Too many of them have lost religious faith; going to church is no longer cool.
So a ceremony like this one is absolutely invaluable. It brings the British people together in joy and national solidarity. It makes them realize that they have a noble heritage of history, art, architecture, music, language, law, and almost every other human pursuit. It reminds them that they a great deal to be proud of, and stiffens their collective spine so that they might be able to stand up to aggressors just a little bit better.
Whether the royal couple deserve it, the fact that they were on their knees in Westminster Abbey in front of two billion people is an important signal to Britain and to the world. That’s not hypocrisy, and it’s not self-glorification; it’s a crucial duty of the British monarchy in restoring their nation’s former strength.
Re the photo caption thread: I guess telling women they need horse dentistry IS in line with your brand of Christianity?
Hypocrisy, thy name is Mr. Rogers?
Beautifully said, thank you.
I did feel attacked...personally with such comments as “God dont like ugly, and your spitefulness is ugly indeed.”
However, Thank you for taking the time now and making the effort to respond to me with your articulate and very well presented post here.
You have made excellant points, and I agree with you on many of your points. I have reflected on what you present, and see your perspective. You have presented another way for me to view this drama today. thank you.
