Past Royal Weddings in the United Kingdom
Prince Albert, Duke of York, and Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, 26 April 1923
Princes Elizabeth and Philip Mountbatten, Duke of Edinburgh, November 20th, 1947
Charles, Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer, July 31st, 1981
I think this little girl is the daughter of Princess Margaret’s son.
Love the Housewives series! Thought the east coast feed started at 4 A.M.
Since I am now residing on the Left Coast, and am a lot more jaded about such things, I plan to sleep right through Wills and Kate's wedding. Having said that, I do wish them a long life of love and happiness. They seem like very nice young people.
this tiara?
Thanks for the ping Silvie. I am actually moving to a different apartment tomorrow morning, so will be electronic media challenged for awhile. I wish I could watch in real time, if only the historical significance.. kind of like the last space shuttle launch :)
Yes and it snapped shortly before that wedding requiring a standby royal jeweler to make on the fly repairs.
UGH.... Why does anybody really care?
Sure looks like it. Beautiful!!!
See you in the morning! EARLY!!!
The Queen looked lovely at her wedding in 1947, not artificial or overly made up.
You can see the gap from the ‘main’ spike and the spike immediately to our left of it. If it snapped the gold kt must have been 21+.
Some of us are speculating on what the old, new, borrowed and blue will be. This tiara qualifies as both old and borrowed, but since the Queen seems to like Kate, it won’t be borrowed anymore if Kate wears it: I’m thinking she’ll hold it for the next Princess.
yes she did.
When the Queen met Nia Vardalos the star of the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding she obviously knew something about marrying Greeks. :)
And, of course, we have the instant classic T-Mobile Royal Wedding:

I’d rather watch a rerun of “Keeping Up Appearances.”
